Chauffeur by the Day in London
Some days in London have five addresses and no gaps: a breakfast meeting in the City, lunch in Mayfair, an appointment in Knightsbridge, the theatre in the evening. With a chauffeur for the day, the car waits outside or nearby while you are inside, and is ready when you come out. You never look for a taxi or a parking space.
How a day with a chauffeur works
- Send us the plan: addresses, times and the number of passengers. Use the contact page or e-mail [email protected].
- We confirm one fixed price for the day before you commit. It does not change with traffic.
- The chauffeur waits between stops and takes you on to the next address. If a meeting runs long, call the office and the plan moves with you.
- For a single outing (for example to a meeting and back), book on the booking form and choose “Return” with the time you want to leave. The chauffeur waits and drives you back; the return leg is discounted.
The cars
- First Class Sedan: up to 4 passengers and 3 suitcases. The usual choice for one or two people.
- First Class Van: up to 6 passengers and 5 suitcases, for a family, a team or a principal with staff.
- First Class Minibus: up to 16 passengers and 10 suitcases, for a delegation or a larger party.
Several cars can travel together for the same programme.
Discretion
The arrival sign can show a company name or a pseudonym instead of the guest’s name. An assistant can make the booking, with their own contact details in the notes, and the confirmation e-mail serves as the receipt. Pickup points at hotels can be agreed in advance, for example a side entrance.
Typical days
Business: landing at Heathrow, meetings in the City and Canary Wharf, dinner in Mayfair, back to the hotel. Shopping: Bond Street and Harrods in Knightsbridge, with bags left in the car between shops. An evening out: dinner and a show in the West End, with the car at an agreed point after the curtain. Out of town: see day trips from London to Windsor, Oxford or Cambridge.
Waiting in central London
Many central streets do not allow a car to stand at the kerb. The chauffeur waits at the nearest legal place and comes back to the agreed pickup point when you call or at the agreed time. Give a mobile number we can reach on the day.
Starting at the airport
A chauffeur day can begin with an arrival: the driver tracks the flight and waits in arrivals with a sign, parking is included, and the first 60 minutes after landing are free. See Heathrow, London City and corporate travel.
