Luggage Guide: Which Car?
Choosing a car that is too small is the most common booking mistake. Use this guide to match passengers and luggage to the right vehicle; the price is per vehicle, not per bag or per person.
Capacity by vehicle
| Vehicle | Passengers | Large suitcases | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sedan | 4 | 3 | Couples and small families with average luggage |
| First Class Sedan | 4 | 3 | Business and special occasions, a quieter car |
| Van | 6 | 4 | Families, two couples, pushchairs |
| First Class Van | 6 | 5 | Families and groups with more luggage, in comfort |
| Minibus | 16 | 10 | Groups, wedding parties, teams |
Rules of thumb
- Count hand luggage too: a cabin bag per person takes space when the car is full.
- Golf bags, skis and pushchairs: tell us in the booking notes and choose a van.
- Four adults with four large cases do not fit a sedan: book a van.
- Cruise and long-stay luggage is usually bigger than airport luggage: see cruise port transfers.
Example: Heathrow to Mayfair
| Route | Sedan (4 seats) | First Class Sedan (4 seats) | Van (6 seats) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heathrow – Mayfair (26 km) | £63 | £104 | £93 |
Other routes are priced on the booking form.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if our luggage does not fit when the driver arrives?
Tell us the luggage in advance so we send the right vehicle; a bigger vehicle cannot always be found at short notice.
Is the price per person?
No. You pay once for the whole vehicle, whether one person travels or the car is full.
