Dover’s cruise terminals are in the Western Docks, at the foot of the white cliffs. Ships sail from here mainly to Northern Europe, the Norwegian fjords and the Baltic. Dover is in Kent, south-east of London, so Gatwick and London City are the nearest London airports by road.

Getting to the right terminal
Add the ship name and the terminal from your cruise documents to the booking. The driver follows the cruise signs at the Western Docks and drops you where the luggage is taken for the ship. Dover is also a busy ferry port; the cruise terminals are separate from the ferry check-in at the Eastern Docks.
Luggage and vehicles
A sedan takes four passengers and three large suitcases, a van six passengers and four, a First Class Van six and five, and a minibus up to 16 passengers and 10 large cases. For two couples sharing the journey, a van is usually the comfortable choice.
After the cruise
Book a pickup from the terminal on your disembarkation day with the ship name; the meeting point is in your booking confirmation. The driver takes you to your hotel, home or airport. If you are flying home the same day, leave plenty of time: disembarkation can take a while on a large ship.
