Southampton Cruise Port Transfers
Southampton is the UK’s main cruise port, with several cruise terminals in its docks. Many passengers fly into Heathrow or Gatwick for their cruise, or come down from a hotel in London. We drive door to terminal in one private vehicle, with room for the luggage a cruise needs.
Fares to Southampton cruise terminals
| Route | Sedan (4 seats) | First Class Sedan (4 seats) | Van (6 seats) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heathrow – Southampton (106 km) | £169 | £243 | £252 |
| Gatwick – Southampton (143 km) | £219 | £307 | £326 |
Central London addresses, Stansted, Luton and London City are priced on the booking form. Heathrow is the closest London airport to Southampton.
Which terminal?
Your cruise line tells you the terminal for your ship. Put it in the booking (for example “Ocean Terminal” or “Mayflower Terminal”) together with the ship name; the driver takes you to the drop-off area of that terminal, where your cases are handed over for the ship.
Luggage for a cruise
Cruise luggage is usually more than airport luggage. A sedan takes four passengers and three large suitcases; a van takes six passengers and four; a First Class Van six and five; a minibus up to 16 passengers and 10 large cases. Two couples travelling together with two cases each are more comfortable in a van.
Timing
Boarding times are set by the cruise line, usually in a window on the day of sailing. Plan to arrive at the start of your window rather than the end, and allow extra time for traffic on the motorway. After the cruise, book a pickup from the terminal for the morning you disembark with the ship name; the meeting point is in your booking confirmation.
Flying in for a cruise
If you land at Heathrow on the day of sailing, add your flight number: the driver follows your flight and the first 60 minutes after landing are free. Many passengers prefer to arrive the day before and spend a night in London or Southampton; we can drive you to the hotel and on to the ship the next day as two separate bookings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you collect us from the ship and take us straight to Heathrow?
Yes. Book the terminal as pickup and Heathrow as destination, with your flight time; we suggest leaving enough time for a long-haul check-in.
Is there room for a folding wheelchair or mobility scooter?
Please contact us with its size before you book, so we can check that it fits the vehicle.
Is the price per person?
No. You pay once for the whole vehicle, whether one person travels or the car is full.
Can I cancel?
Yes, free of charge until 24 hours before pickup. Your card is only authorised when you book and is charged 24 hours before the journey.
Is a return trip cheaper?
Choose “Return” on the booking form: the way back is 10% cheaper.
